Paul worked at the New Haven Register for over 25 years, serving as a pressman and writing a weekly outdoor sports column. He is predeceased by brothers Albert Duenkel, Edmund Duenkel, and George Duenkel. Paul was one of six children and is survived by his sister, Judi Becker, and brother, Conrad Duenkel.
